Dental Assistants

Do you make temporary crowns?  Do you place the cord during crown preps?  Do you take impressions?  If so, did you know that it is not legal in CT for an assistant to do these procedures among other duties that you may be asked to do?

The Connecticut Dental Assistant Association supports Expanded Duty Function Assistants in CT!  Join your local association now to show your support.  Meetings are ongoing with CSDA to make EDFA legal in CT.  For more information visit www.CDAA4u.org or contact Stacy.

The DANB  RHS examination is required to expose radiographs in the state of Connecticut.  Contact DANB for an examination application.  For additional information, please contact the Connecticut Department of Public Health at (860) 509-7590 to verify any requirements for dental assistants.  Website: www.oralhealth.state.ct.us

DANB's State Fact Booklet:  A Complete Listing by State of Required DANB Examinations and Excerpts from State Practice Acts provides valuable dental assisting information by state as a resource for dental assisting professionals and other communities of interest.  To receive a paper copy of the form, please contact a Client Services Representative at 1-800-FOR-DANB, or email your full name and mailing address to danbmail@danb.org
